Aerial View
This first gallery shows an aerial view of the farm along with our handwritten notes and additions. |
 |
Herb Wheel
Follow the development of our Herb medicine wheel from preparing the ground to the herbs being placed in each of the four directions with associated energetic qualities of cold, hot, dry and wet. |
 |
Fruit Garden
In the original croft garden lies our newly planted orchard of native apple, plum, and damson trees alongside blackcurrants, raspberries and strawberries. The camping field also lies in this sheltered spot. |
 |
Herbs
Abundant variety and growth of herbs are found in the working perennial herb garden and the herb wheel teaching demonstration garden. |
 |
Veg Spiral
Farming and by extension, gardening, tends to be quite linear. In our vegetable beds, we allow the curve inherent in the surrounding landscape to influence our garden design. |
 |
Hedges
Following the curve based design informed by our landscape studies, we planted the ‘hedge that went for a wander’ containing many thousands of medicinal trees to re-establish the natural field boundary. |
 |
Poolytunnel
15 foot round, 4 foot deep solar heated, oxygen and plant based treated summer only swimming pool. There is also a small collection of non-native medicinal plants requiring a warmer clime. |
 |
Accommodation
Our campsite can support up to 6 large tents and the caravan is a natural breakout area for breakfasting, tea breaks and evening hang out zone. |

Arc Proposal
Our next project is to design and build a new greenhouse and processing area based on renewable energy. The Arc will aim to be self sufficient in heat which will be stored in stone and recycled glass heat stores under the building. |
